A few words about me
GeorgE Alevrofas
I am a guitarist who thrives from teaching others whatever they need in order to successfully achieve their musical goals. I teach a broad range of styles and techniques, while covering all the important aspects of learning how to play and understand music, which include: music theory and its application, fundamental rhythms, ear-training, chord identification, listening techniques, and most importantly, the “right” way to practice.
Guitar is my ultimate passion in life, and I want to help you reach your goals on the instrument with all the knowledge I have to offer.

Key achievements
- Performing solo classical guitar, duos, trios, quartets, quintets, successfully organized arrangements, and rehearsals for multiple recitals.
- Performing chamber music as a violin/guitar duo.
- Reaching a high level for music interpretation and performance, including repertoire from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern.
- Achieving a total understanding of the fretboard through the process of improvisation, and aural training throughout the years.
- Ability to write and arrange music ranging in a wide variety of styles.
- Performed Mandolin in Das Lied von der Erde by Gustav Mahler with the Lamont Symphony Orchestra.
- Participated in multiple classes: Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, and the Assad Duo, October 2016, 2012, and February 2013.
- Featured solo classical guitarist playing alongside Towson University’s Symphonic Band, directed by Dr. Dana Rothlisberger, February-March 2012.
- Performed at An Die Musik, and GFA (Guitar Foundation of America) Regional Symposium in Washington D.C. December 2011, March 2012.
- Ability to utilize notational software.
- Vast experience recording all popular styles including metal, rock, pop, blues, and classical.
- Recorded and released a full-length album with the Danish rock band Skarnet.
- Toured all throughout Denmark with the tribute band Guns N’ Roses Jam.
